🛫: "I want to get some air."
There are people who eat a lot and have a lot of course. But what if they can't eat all of a sudden? I have to get something to eat or lose weight, but that's exactly what the world's airline industry is doing right now.
How hard is it?
Airline: There are no people traveling, so there is little income. As a result, not only the employee's salary, but also the cost of repairing the plane. In fact, about 87 percent of Korea's 374 planes were parked in March without being able to get up.
Parts maker ⚙️: There's no need to repair or order new parts because the plane can't fly. They don't even make new planes at all. If the airline collapses, the parts maker could collapse like dominoes, leading to a massive job crisis.
You don't have any countermeasures?
They're all laying off employees, cutting salaries, and waiting for government support from each country. We're looking for a breakthrough in different ways. Two of them are:
Buy NEW shares: Companies issue and sell shares to bring in the funds they need. The way to raise funds by issuing more shares is called a paid-in capital increase. I use this method because I have to pay interest if I get a loan, but the company's stock value falls. Korean Air has decided to issue an additional 1 trillion won worth of stocks.
Please reduce the rent: Most of the airline's flights are actually not owned by the airline. We rent a plane owned by a big money-lending company (capital) and pay interest and principal every month (Lease) It's easy to make a profit if you borrow a lot of planes and roll them, but you also have a lot of money to pay back every month, so if the economy goes bad, you'll be hit hard. Some of the companies that lent me the plane are getting a lower rent first.
Besides that, we're looking for a variety of ways, including selling the land the company had, but experts expect it to take more than two years for the airline industry to recover some form.
